Our journey began with a personal struggle
The inspiration behind SUW stems from a deeply personal experience. As a single mother of five children, I understand the immense challenge of affording rent and other bills, even with a full-time job. It took me two very long years to secure a place for my children and me. This struggle ignited a passion to ensure other families don't face the same hardships.
Creating pathways to stable, affordable homes
SUW is dedicated to directly addressing housing stress. We achieve this by purchasing properties, meticulously fixing anything that needs repair, and then opening them for rent at genuinely affordable rates. Our goal is to provide safe, comfortable, and budget-friendly homes that empower families rather than burden them.
Our vision for Zanesville and beyond
We are committed to abolishing housing instability in Zanesville, Ohio, and envision expanding our reach. We don't want to see families separated or stressed due to a lack of affordable housing. SUW has big plans to acquire available properties, creating homes where families can thrive without the panic of where their next rent payment will come from.
